You need to review your history. this country was invaded in its history and the fact that we had guns did not stop them from carrying out the invasion. Check your Internet and look at the wars this country has fought. It's listed in there.
I would also say that your assault weapons are not what's keeping foreign invaders out, it's the worlds greatest military force, ours.
