The Villages is a "retirement" community; more than two residents per home are, essentially, not allowed.

In the "outside" world, I'd guesstimate that 2.5 residents per household would be pretty close to accurate. Here, however, I'd suggest that it's more like 1.5 residents per household. I've heard that it's more like 1.2!

That'd be a pretty big difference in total population here!

I actually moved into my home with FOUR people. Me, wife, mother & mother-in-law.
We lived together for over 2 years.

As for where I came up with the 2.5 figure - I recollect seeing it in TV survey results once.
If I'm wrong - I apologize but, I do know more than 2 people are allowed.

And I think you'd be very surprised how many people move here with one of their parents (or more). There are clubs that have meetings in how to deal with the inherent problems.
