Mike and I decided to splurge this year so we invited a famous executive chef from Chicago to prepare our feast of roast tenderloin of beef, mashed Yukon gold potatoes, fresh green beans from the local Farmers's market, along with whatever else he decides will be fitting for his family....
Jim, Leslie and the kids are here and Mike will play sous chef while Jim does his magic in the kitchen. Pastry chef (Mike, also) has prepared a fresh apple and a pumpkin pie for dessert. Will probably take a week to clean the kitchen, but it is so worth it....good food and the blessing of having our children and grandchildren here to share in the joy and magic of Christmas.
