Could it be the case that some people really believe that owning guns porvides a buffer against the tryanny of govt run amok? Could it be that some feel that there may be a need in the future to protect and defend their family after the collapse of order due to political upheavel or natural disaster. For those who have these concerns,riducule and deamonisation will only highten their instinct to resist any change.
