I'm glad to hear the comparison of poor diet with alcoholism. I believe it's a very accurate comparison. Some people are addicted to processed (or refined) foods the way alcoholics are addicted to alcohol.
The difference is: When it comes to alcoholism everyone seems to know that you can't play around with it. A reformed alcoholic can't take an occasional drink. But when it comes to diet, dietitions and others (those who should know better) advise dieters to go ahead and eat what they crave, as long as they do it in moderation.
