Golf clubs are danged expensive, most of them, and you are foolish not to take them home before you eat or shop or have a lock on them.
But as for other things like break ins....not never, but rarely, and the Daily Sun prints the police blotter because I read it.
Two days ago it said a villager had his golf clubs stolen from Walmart parking lot. People need to NOT leave vaulables out and asking for them to be taken.
There are professional thieves waiting for just such an opportunity.
