I've heard of this book.....several times in fact.....so maybe should look into it! Up north, there are two different weight-loss programs that are multi-level marketing plans that promote shakes. I'm thinking I could do my own shakes with fruit, whey etc. and get somewhat the same results and not pay the BIG bucks to do it!!

I agree - anyone could do it themselves with persistence and small portions. It is a little hard to say "no" to some things in restaurants, but it helps to have a goal and think of saying "no" as an investment in getting there sooner. The other thing that helps is finding gluten-free foods that you really love. The up-front research helps with that.
