X2, The Fed. gov. Has restrictions on how much water can flow from you fixtures. I believe it is 2.5 gal/min. To do this they make the fixture mfg. put restrictors in them to reduce the flow. I had this problem on a kitchen faucet and a plumber friend told me to take the head off and remove the restrictor and it almost doubled the water flow.
Also as mentioned, on new homes especially, there can be trash in the water lines that clog the screen and make it even worse.
Take out the restrictor plate and it will flow much better.
