We took a ride upto a cypress mill yesterday all I can say is WOW!!!!

Some of the nicest wood I've seen for flooring and other uses, they had logs being cut to order any size wood you desire, the prices were stupid inexpensive compared to anyplace.

I took pics, but since moving can't find my cable to download...a few days it will appear

But this is the real deal not laminates or engineered (not that there's anything wrong with engineered) It comes naturally in light wood tone, can be finished like that or stained to any color.

Here's the best part the experts all agree solid wood can now be used on above grade concrete slabs (as we have here) with the newer urethane glues containing built in moisture barriers.

So it will not be nailed or need a subfloor.

I'm placing our order tomorrow, picking up later this week, I have 5.25 " wide samples if anyone would like to see them.

They also mill a bead board for use on walls and ceilings, I'm going to do part of the LR ceiling, and a 36" high surround in the kitchen nook with a chair rail.

The deal with Fl cypress is it it super resistant to termites & rot naturally.

As some of you know I'm going to use this wood again outside on a pergola.

I have 40 yards of brand new carpet never stepped on for sale if interested
