With DirecTV, you can take your receiver(s) with you to TV and use them there. Take them back north with you when you return. DirecTV will install an antenna for you in TV at no charge (for a 'standard installation', that is). You'll need to make a phone call to them each time you switch locations in order to be able to receive the local channels associated with that location. No big deal once you get the hang of it. Nicest thing: All this is done with at additional cost to you!
