I have played a lot of golf and the best way to ruin a round is to have people not abide by the pace of play rules..Once you are looking at a score of 3 over par for that hole pick up.. If they hole in front of you is open, your group needs to pick up the pace..No reason why 18 holes should take longer than 3 1/2 hours..
