OK. I shut down the computer and started all over again.
1. Checked control panel and it says the 3 Adobe add-ons I mentioned above are installed.
2. Went into my Centurylink e-mail account via Firefox, clicked a video in an email and it played successfully.
3. Went into my Centurylink e-mail account via Internet Explorer, clicked the same video and got the following message "This video will not play. You currently do not have Adobe Flash Player installed on this computer."
4. "X" out of that.
5. Went to adobe.com, Download Flash Player, unchecked Chrome and Download now. Was asked do you want to run or save. Chose "run".
6. Got message at bottom "Install flash player couldn't be downloaded". Screen sat there is a "frozen" state.
HELP !!
P.S. Adobe site suggested making sure I am Administrator. I went to control panel - User Accounts - It said Administrator under my icon name.
I don't know what else to do.
