Yes, just like A-4, we asked our sales rep to get approval on how much we could stretch as soon as we reserved our lot over five months ago. Both CAD and our sales rep put in writing what stretches were approved and they said we could do what we requested. They also did a cut and paste of our selected home (and Iris) with the stretches listed and pasted it onto a copy of our lot with the exact dimensions shown. For five months we could have selected a new lot if we did not like what this lot would do for us, and now that the stretchable and reasonably priced lots are much more expensive and quite scarce, especially cul de sac corners like our lot. In addition, this lot at 3293 Vicksburg Ave was special to us as the name of our street had very special meaning...my wonderful late mother was born and raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Also, section 214 is right next to Evans Prairie, and believe it or not my mother's maiden name was Evelyn EVANS.
There was no way we had the time or inclination at the last minute to try to search and select a new lot. We also were not afforded the opportunity to spend much time discussing options and we were only presented with the ones that are mandated to get a choice for by the designer. I would just like to tell everyone who will soon be having a design appointment to make sure your rep makes it clear to your designer as to what you expect from the appointment and to insure they will be considerate and patient toward your needs. Also maked double and triple sure that you understand exactly what your lot will do for you or you may be very surpriesed. We are still very excited for our future at the villages, and if anyone has any questions from us about the process, just let us know....Sincerely, Bruce and Marcy Snell.
