Anyhow, it is legal for a landowner to kill a coyote on his property. It is not really recommended though. I copied the following from the Florida Dept of Wildlife. "Some evidence suggests that light, indiscriminant harvesting of Coyotes may actually stimulate production and further increase numbers."

I hate goats, too!
They are allowed to shoot the coyotes as they have farm animals that are in danger from them. So far, they have lost 7 barn cats to coyotes and a horse who was old and unable to run from them was attacked. He's ok and that particular coyote met his maker.

They have been going after the baby calves at the cattle ranch across the street. It's very sad to see that.
