CLERMONT, Fla. -
Clermont police arrested two men accused of beating up another man on a golf course because he told them they were golfing too slowly.
Eric Daniel Avera, 30, and Darryl Pulley, 29, were arrested after the incident at the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club in Clermont.

The victim told police that Avera and Pulley became upset that they were being rushed, walked over to confront the man and punched him in the face before kicking the man while he was on the ground.
A witness golfing with Avera and Pulley told police he believed the victim's group was purposely hitting golf balls in their direction, which prompted the duo to become aggressive, according to police.

Avera was charged with simple battery and providing false information to law enforcement. Pulley was charged with simple battery.
Both were taken to Lake County Jail.
