Here is the recipe

U. S. Senate Bean Soup Recipe - Food.com - 18732

However, here is my quickie version.

About two cups of ham. I had some leftover in the freezer.
Two cans northern beans not drained.
Two cans chicken broth
One large onion chopped
One clove garlic minced
Two potatoes peeled and chopped or put in processor
One stalk of celery, chopped or put in processor
Parsley flakes

Put all together on stove top or crock pot and cook low and slow until it smells..umm done.

Surprisingly easy and good.

Oh I serve with Jiffy corn bread from mix. I like the sweetness.
