Also, although these short sales and foreclosures seem like a good deal, you are also buying a neighborhood. If anyone ever looks via an aerial view of some of the neighborhoods in places like Cape Coral, you see many abandoned looking properties intersperced with just weed filled land between............
(Certainly not just Cape Coral, Fl. but so many other places with dirty water in the pools, lack of pest control in the abandoned homes which once were beautiful, etc.)
Not to sound like a Villages "marketing person" but you are buying the lifestyle and the neighborhood.........as well as the house.
Again, buyer beware.
