My hearing loss was mostly high frequency. Female voices and children's voices become very difficult to understand. A waitress in the ambient noise of a busy restaurant. My grand-daughter in the back seat of the car.
When the wife has to translate, "She said, did you want Italian or Ranch dressing.", you know you have a problem.
