Because the restaurants, entertainment & shops tend to close up in the Village centers between 9-10pm that leaves a LOT of time and a lot of area in the dark of night with few people around for those who want to cause mischief to get on with it.

One night shortly after we moved here my wife & I took a ride down Buena Vista all the way from Mulberry to 44. It was about 9pm. It was a very quiet, very lonely ride. I could easily see how some tricksters could cause trouble in one of the remote village center parking lots without being witnessed.
