In this case I think $500 + a return of the money for the cruise and a free future cruise may be a "little light" on payback for the problems they had. Because of the nasty conditions and the potential of a future illness from the terrible sanitary conditions and so on I think they should get more. If you add it up and assume they paid $3,000 per couple, + $3,000 for a future and $500 payout the total is approximately $6,500. (Note: THis was to be a short cruise and the costs would probably be written off. )I would put the amount due in the neighborhood of $25,000- $50,000 and that is low but probably closer to cover the problems these poor customers had to endure.

It's my understanding that they will not get a free cruise. They will get their money back for this cruise, $500.00 and a discount on a future cruise.
