I just can't imagine getting 4000 people transferred from one ship to another.

Castine, Maine is a nice little town (home to the Maine Maritime Academy). We've stopped there several times........off the beaten path.
We've enjoyed all of our road trips up and down each peninsula in coastal Maine......from the bottom to the top where Calais borders New Brunswick, Canada.
We're just glad that the Confederation Bridge now links New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island..........although a small ferry from N.B. to Charlottetown, P.E.I. was always very very nice on calm seas.
A very modern ferry............
Not so our trip to North Haven Island Maine.
If any "villagers" want a unique summer vacation.......plan on seeing Prince Edward Island Canada, home of "Anne of Green Gables" fame.
For those who still like to cycle, the rolling hills are not only scenic but popular with bikers. Beautiful pristine empty beaches.........gorgeous.
We've returned many many times and love the folks on P.E.I. as well as Cape Breton, New Brunswick, etc. Down to earth and wholesome.
Everyone up in the Canadian Martimes were very very friendly and kindly.
Halifax, Nova Scotia has a Titanic memorial..........
Anyway, two leisurely weeks by car is how we do the Canadian Maritimes.
Very relaxing...........
We love Maine and are vacationing there for two weeks this summer.
Can't wait.
