It reminds me of something that happened to me last summer at LSL. I was driving around the square (in the morning) and saw a car backing out of a spot in front of Starbucks (where I was going). I put on my blinker, stopped my cart, and waited for them to back out. All of a sudden I heard the blast of a golf cart horn behind me. I looked in my mirror and see a man having a conniption fit. I waved him around and as he pulled up next to me, he yelled “what are you stopping for?”. I replied “I’m waiting for this parking space”, to which he yelled “so you block two lanes of traffic to wait for a parking spot?!? Why don’t you just drive around the square until you find one?” Here’s the thing...he was the only person behind me...in either lane. For a moment I was shocked into silence by his vitriol, and then he sped off, cussing all the way. It pretty much ruined my whole morning. I spent it thinking of all of the things I could have/should have said to him.

In the end, I found comfort in the fact that at least I wasn’t so mad at the world, that I would act that way or speak to a fellow Villager that way.
I suspect if the positions were reversed, that idiot would have considered it his right to sit there waiting for the space to open up no matter how many cars backed up behind him.
