Some of us "newbies" to The Villages and to the sport of water volleyball have had a fun time at Savannah Sports Pool. You can note in the Recreation News that play is classified as "Organized Basic". And, that's just what it is. It is nicely organized and the style of play is for those who want to learn the game. You "serve" the ball by tossing it over the net; NOT by serving it overhand like in traditional volleyball.
Come out and enjoy. The water is heated to about 80 degrees and EVERYONE plays. Here's the schedule:
Tu-Wd-Th-Sat - 2:50pm to 4:50pm
Su-Mo-Fr - 11:50am to 1:50pm.
