We ordered custom Lazy Boy recliners a few years ago through White's Furniture. Within a few months, one of the chairs developed a hole in the fabric under one arm. We couldn't figure out how it could happen as it was not in a location that should wear. Fortunately, we had purchased the "Montage" insurance policy and after we provided photos of the damage, the insurance company had it fixed promptly.

When we examined the fabric, it was clear that the damage had happened at the Lazy Boy factory, as there was a razor slit on the underside. We called White's Furniture to report what happened, but they weren't really interested.

I'd recommend buying insurance on upholstered goods. Without it, you may have to pay big bucks to get it fixed.
