I agree that time is a great healer; when I had a torn meniscus in 1998 I did NOTHING, no drugs, no arthroscopy, only went on an anti-inflammatory diet, and in many months/years it did get better
But, with the shoulder I have lost some range of motion ~ it hurts when I place my left arm behind me, can't scratch my back, etc.
I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to go see an orthopedic specialist who might have more insight regarding the problelm  I don't want to do anything that might make it worse!!

This could be a great learning experience for everyone. Let us know what happens. For example, will there be a recommendation for xrays, MRI, physical therapy or medication?
