There is a move from rust belt states down south - but, of more interest is the overall aging of US population.

If we don't start holding the welcome mat out to foreigners who have needed skills and an entrepreneurial spirit we are in deep pooh.

The solution is easy....get a degree here - get a green card. Have a skill we need (engineers, health care professionals, software designers or folks that can handle advanced code) - get a green card. Even folks with less skills but are willing to put in 18 hours a day in hard work...we need you...step up.

And if you fall in these categories but due to ambition you came here in a less than prescribed fashion...if your skills and labor will make us stronger....you are welcome to stay.

A lot of Japan's problems are due to a closed/protected economy and low population growth relative to other Asian countries...we don't need to follow their lead.

The fact that TV's growth rate relative to the rest of the country is so high is good for our pride...but, we don't produce things here - we consume - this is not a good sign for our country.
