As long as you don't bring a dead horse's head......or expect us to bring one.

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." –
"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." – Nominated
"It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes." – Nominated

I would be happy to bring a baked lasagna.......if we are there, that is.

We watch it over again about once a year.......like the part where they show Michael's father, played by Robert DeNiro, as a new immigrant to the teeming streets and tenements of New York City......when the "Black Hand" controlled all the merchants. The feasts, etc. That's how it was when my paternal Italian grandparents lived on Mott Street in the late 1890's, etc.........first Elizabeth Street and then Mott.....

Every single one of my dad's immediate and extended family are all buried at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, Queens, New York...........in the movie there was a scene at Calvary.

Also like the segment where Michael goes back to Sicily...........(Just remembering that I had uncles with names like Vito, Michele/Michael, and on and on.........)

Also, the theme (music) to the Godfather movie is hauntingly beautiful..........I remember weddings like the one in the opening scene. Maybe not that elaborate, but similar.....when I was a flower girl for my aunts.
