Default Tricare Supplement
Is anyone using the Tricare Supplement from AFA (Air Force Association)? I am shopping for a supplement for Tricare as Prime is discontinuing in this area on 1 October. everyone here will be switched to Tricare Standard (under 65 years old). If you get a supplement for Tricare Prime now it will convert to Tricare Standard on 1 October 2013, AND the 6 month period for preexisting conditions will be counted during this time. The supplement for Tricare Prime is very cheap, however the supplement for Tricare Standard will increase on 1 October. However, that cost will be offset by not having to pay for the Tricare Prime any longer.
