Don't know if you want to do it yourself, but I purchased a very inexpensive dual deck VHS DVD recorder. They have a dubbing feature where you can put the VHS tape in, a new DVD-R disc in, press dubbing, and walk away and it will copy the VHS to the DVD. I found it very simple to do, and I need and like simple!
