There's a big difference with this scenario of kids strapped to the golf cart bag area and being strapped in the rear seats.

- Your clubs are inanimate objects without hands that can undo the strap buckle;

- Your clubs cannot wiggle and squirm themselves out of the strap unless the buckle loosens because it was not pressed shut enough.

- Rear seat belts are made for being lap restraints that cross the body in the appropriate place. Bag belts were not made for bodies, and depending on the height of the child and the grip of the buckle of the strap, the kids can wiggle or accidentally slide out of them, into traffic......not onto golf course turf by the way.

- Rear seat belts have a hook and clasp closure and not the belt gripper like the bag strap buckle is. The seatbelt hook and clasp is more reliable to stay closed.

- Most importantly: What if the golf cart with kids strapped on the back gets rear-ended by a car/truck?? We don't care if golf clubs get smashed and broken, but we do care if it's a little kid's legs, abdomen, spine, chest or head.

Thats why children are outlawed from riding on the back of a motorcycle.
