I have learned that this man has been in numerous such confrontations throughout the villages with parking attendants and other residents. The reason I mention this is twofold. First, to thank my fellow residents for not letting this incident escalate beyond what it already was, and secondly to remind everyone that there are those among us that suffer from emotional issues and may need professional help as much as it appears that they need a kick in the butt. Calling the authorities when possible is better than a fist fight. Also, the two deputies that responded were everything one could hope for in that situation. They were calming, patient, and professional.
Thanks for the explanation. I was getting the mail when I saw the officers, and someone pointed out the troublemaker.
