Same here - comcast in less than a year just got too high and we knew we were facing another increase on our year anniversary. We went with Direct and Century Link for internet. I believe Direct is far superior to Comcast with the clarity of picture, the multiple functions the remote is capable of, the music channels, and the price.
Of course the one draw back is loss of signal during a storm. Hasn't been much of an issue during the first month, but we haven't had much of a storm yet. At least my internet will hang in there as long as we have power!
Oh and I forgot to mention - their customer service is outstanding. No long waits, informed representatives, that are actually cordial. That is certainly a nice bonus!
