I'm cord-cutter snowbird. With all the US and Canadian Networks, the roof antenna up north is more than satisfactory. I found here I could pull in over 30 channels with a small Terk antenna. Unfortunately, NBC wasn't available at all and a couple would drift occasionally. I put the antenna in the attic for a backup and decided to try Dish. I have a snowbird account so I can take the box with me. It's only been 2 months but service has been good, although it did lose signal briefly during the storm a few weeks ago. The new DVRs have 2TB drives and Sling. Primetime Anytime records ALL prime time programming on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, up to 8 days. No need to program, and you can still record two additional shows at the same time. The built-in Sling box lets you watch recorded or live TV on your PC, Tablet, or smartphone anywhere over the Internet.
