It's not the Local dealership that's going to dispute it, sure they will be happy to get the business one way or the other. IMO the biggest thing is checking the oil and other fluids-- most people can hardly find the battery let along dipstick. gree twice year is good cheap insurance...

Valid debate point - kudos
Just happened to buy a new Honda this week (CRV EX-L). The warranty book uses lots of words like "should" "may revoke" "recommendations". But I agree that as long as you don't let the darn thing run dry you should be OK even without the paper trail.
