I don't mean to sound harsh, but have lived on golf courses for three decades, and have seen and helped pay for the damage done by kids...who may or may not have "meant well"

So I truly understand what your kind thoughts are... .and that is my fairest response.

There are some areas that golf courses have public paths adjacent to them and that may have been where these kids were and this all just might be another "tempest in a teapot".
I hear of people going out on the courses after the starter shacks close all the time especially the people who live on a course, maybe they think they are entitled. Some have even posted on this site. Yes, rules are rules but some are made to be broken. Live and let live, have some fun, let the children play.
