Last summer I was helping our daughter in Cincinnati trim back her Knockout roses and we were discovering odd colored and funny looking growths in some areas. This must be the result of this viral infection of the plant.

This is a shame. The knockouts were so easy for us without a lot of patience and time to enjoy beautiful roses.

I sent your article on to our daughter.

I found this illustration of it by googling. The growth is so strange and so wild, I had said to our daughter that this looks like a plant "cancer".
