I am sure that if I said or did what your friend did it might be my last act as a complete man, if you get my drift.
I don't think I will have to go to that length to get her there.
One of the things that really won her over this trip is how nice everyone was and how many smiles she saw everywhere.
Also she has come to dislike the winters here in West Texas and the dust storms and the fact that it takes all her gardening skills to grow flowers here and keep them alive. She is an avid gardener and loved all the landscaping in TV.
I believe that over the next year or so she will be ready to be a snowbird and then once she has friends there she will want to stay.
That is my hope. For now she is not saying no, and that is one giant step in the right direction.
I think I will suggest renting a place for a month or so first so we can get a feel for life there past just staying 4 or 5 days.
My parents have lived there for 7 years and love it. What's not to love!
