We did the Princess cruise from Honolulu and then over to Tahiti, with all the islands in between, etc. We stayed a few nights in Oahu and in Tahiti before and after. We were with friends so had companions to play with....if hubby didn't want to go on a whale watching tour, my friend would go with me. We did different things during the day...I liked bingo and exercising and reading by the pool. They would gamble or play bridge, etc. The ship we were on was very small but nice, but I think they sold it after our cruise and Princess is using a larger ship now for the same cruise. My friend had gone on Cruise Critic and hooked up with some other people going on our cruise so we all got together for a few cocktail parties and booked some of the same excursions. They seemed to know the best ones to take so it worked out great. They booked with Patrick in Bora Bora which I would greatly recommend. He has a web page which you can check out. He owns a private motu and served a great lunch there. That was the best excursion and it wasn't from Princess. It was a memorable cruise...but the air travel was soo long. We were on first class from Atlanta to Honolulu (upgraded with points) and that was great...but on the way from Tahiti we felt like sardines ...LAX was no picnic either.
