You are exactly right.
Most GPS's do not do a good job of allowing for traffic....or any stops at traffic lights.
Google Maps does a much better job of giving you an accurate time.
Here is the difference, per Google, about 30 minutes ago.
Note the little green dot and the words....
"In current traffic."
By toll road.
Avoiding all toll roads.
Result?
By toll roads in current traffic =
1 HOUR 13 MINUTES.
Avoiding toll roads (by current fastest route) =
1 HOUR 56 MINUTES.
Difference =
43 MINUTES.
That should lay to rest......any misconceptions.
