All the filters I installed work great and the feedback is very positive.
Notice the two pressure gauges! these tell U when the cartridges need replacing.
First of all there is plenty wrong with the water, you R drinking, bathing and cooking with chlorine along with numerous sediments and other contaminants.
A water softener doesn't filter anything, it only softens.
Hard water can't hurt U the other stuff does and that's a fact.
I can sell U a softener too but in my opinion it is not needed, I've talked many out of them....to date have not installed one.
I think R/O units R fine, but they do strip out all the nutrients in the water kinda like drinking dead water. Google it!
I don't use one and I'm in the biz, but one of my sons has one in his house and swears by it, my two other sons don't have it.
But all of them use the whole house unit.
So it's personal choice.
We now drink the water here that goes thru our filter.
