OK, let's inject some reality into the discussion. I was the walking scorer for Tiger's group on Thursday. The group was Tiger, Kuchar, and Snedeker. Where we usually have 8 people inside the ropes (3 golfers and caddies, myself, and the standard bearer) there were three TV cameras with assistants, two on course reporters, two "observers", untold numbers of still cameramen and about 30 people with either "media" or "inside ropes" badges with us. It was so crowded I could not see shots played, only hear them. I expect the crowd on Saturday to be similar or larger. It is very possible one of these "extra" people told Tiger that Sergio had hit and he interpreted it to be one of the marshals.

I am very disappointed in the head marshal's comment about character. He has no basis for this statement. A proper response would have been that no marshal told Tiger that Sergio had hit and it must have come from someone else in the crowd. But to intimate that Tiger purposely lied is unprofessional, IMO. It will be interesting to see if that marshal has the same job next year.
