I agree that Tiger's statement would have been better left out of the media, but he said it because Sergio is a well known complainer.

The side by side is very, very daming to Sergio. If it were a distraction then back off. I've seen this many times. Sergio has been playing very well in the last year and half (33 events - 22 of them in the top 25) but he has never risen to the level I think HE feels he should be at. Excels in the Ryder Cup but otherwise it's been a disappointment at least in his mind and his goals. But I like both players.
And to the posters who call Tiger a LIAR: Please look up all the PGA players who have been married, cheated on their spouse, got divorced and then remarried a trophy wife. It happens so much that many players have a name for the not so glamerous wives, they call them "First wife". Crude? Yes. Reality? Yes.
