Taxpayers already pay for it, but the Florida Legislature has decided to pass along 55 billion dollars in federal tax dollars to other states by not expanding medicaid in Florida. So for the next ten years, 55 billion of your tax dollars will be going to recipients in other states, while Florida hospitals are supposed to treat these people for nothing.

And BTW, the same legislature that rejected 55 billion dollars in federal money gets their own health care coverage for $8.25 per month.
