You've got me riled now. I worked for 8 years as a professional trying to protect children from sexual abuse. Our system almost never prosecutes perpetrators because children are not believed and are easily intimidated.
I've served as foreperson of two juries who had no understanding of law or what their job was or how to use objective judgment and critical thinking.
I've seen arrests and charges filed that were clearly not going to have a fair trial because the assigned judge made a decision based on his/her biases.
I think that justice is a joke and the system of champion representation in law is the furthest thing from a trial by peers and the whole truth.
