I used Century Link when I lived in Lynhaven. No problems. I've moved to Glenbrook and all I can say is the experience has been downright disappointing to say the least. When I called to verify my "appointment" I was told that by the end of buisness that day service would be available. The customer service rep said to check the line around 5:30 and it should be working.Huh? I told her I had an appointment with a technician and she said,"Oh No, for that there is an extra charge". Forgot the amt but it was in excess of 50 bucks. She then told me how simple the plug and play would be so a real appointment wasn't necessary. I asked her if the tech would at least knock on the door to make sure my service was up, and she said, Oh No. I asked why not, and she said "that's not what they do". after dealing with her obvious incompetence I spoke with a manager and got pretty much the same attitude. They acted like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to purchase their service. Of course when the tech arrived he did knock on the door and made sure all was well. He told me that at all his calls the customers were fed up by the time he arrived, not with him but the bureaucrats in his office and their lack of concern and inability to attempt to be helpful in any way. I'm currently exploring the option to take all my service back to Comcast, as bad as they are. At least they would talk to you,and their prices are competitive to unbundled satellite and internet svc....
