First of all ask yourself the question are you familiar enough with people in the right professions as to who you would ask. For enclosing a lanai, you would need at a minimun, plans/drawings prepared for the county approval/ workersand inspectors to use, conrete workers, block/rebar workers, stucco guys, roofers, insulators, drywall, framers, window specialists, electricians, Heat/ac guy, cable guy, tile layers, painters, and finishers, and I probably forgot someone. If you can line these people up, thats a start. The biggest hassle will be the scheduling part, and how do you plan for the delays...and YES delays/ no shows will happen especially if you are the little guy on the block of work. Not only scheduling the work but how about determingi what you need, and then the order process on when you are going to get it? You most lkely have no credit with these supliers so it will cash up front.

In my estimation, you are better off to leave this to someone who has the knowledge and contacts of who to call and when. Yes it may cost you a couple of bucks more in the long run but no you cant place any dollar value on the frustration and delays you are about to undertake...and you will have no one person to call to vent your issues.
