Wegmans is owned by the Wegman family of Rochester, NY. From the attached link, the furthest south they are planning a new store is Charlottesville, VA.
All those Wegman fans could write to the family requesting a store in The Villages. They have probably never heard of TV, and who knows...they might be sitting around thinking boy we'd really like to open a store in Florida. Stranger things have happened. After all, WaWa is opening 100 stores in Florida in the next few years.
