I have a friend whose wife is completely disabled. He is looking for a van that is equipped (or can be equipped) for trasporting her. Does anyone here know of someone who has one of these vans who would be willing to share information on where to get one and if there is any way to get financial assitance in purchasing one? They are in the Villages for six months (own a home here) and the other six months in New York. He will actually be taking her back to New York (because she wants to go) when he can get the proper transportation to accomplish this. While I am at it, is there an organziation that will assist in driving the van to New York. (He is 80 years old and I am a bit concerned about him driving it all the way there - but he is determined to please her and is her 24/7 caregiver). Thanks for any info you may provide.
