I thought of more details that seem to point to remodeling...
** About two weeks ago the surface of the asphalt parking lot was coated with black sealer, and the parking lot was re-striped.
** As we walked in Sunday, I noticed several safety posts in the parking lot had "Fresh Paint" signs attached.
** As we were finishing, I saw two manager-types sit down at a table with a guy who unrolled a set of blueprints.
