Today it also happened from the drain across the street from it, obviously because they probably are connected. In thinking back, I recall a few months ago on a cold morning, my neighbor and I were walking our dogs past the same drain when we suddenly heard loud barking which lasted several minutes and seemed to have an echoing sound. Initially we thought it was a dog inside a neighboring garage but then we walked over to the storm drain and it was emanating from the drain. This drain is on a Pennecamp street which is adjacent to a golf course and a couple of large retention ponds so I am guessing that perhaps the storm drains empty into those ponds and maybe a fox came into the drain system at some point and has nested there. Does that sound logical? My wife was thinking it was a lost dog and we should call someone, but I doubt a dog would survive several weeks in a storm drain. Now I will sit back and await all the bigfoot comments to begin, but I would appreciate some serious opinions as well.
Does it sound anything like this?

The first time I heard one of these "barking frogs" I couldn't believe it wasn't a dog.
